All instructional decisions at New Summerfield ISD are made based on the best data available. TAKS and district assessment data is available to teachers and administrators through the availability of DMAC provided through Region 7 Education Service Center.   

Teachers are provided curriculum management through CSCOPE which is built on the most current research-based practices in the field. Primary focus is to impact instructional practices in the classroom to improve student performance and mastery of the TEKS.

CSCOPE SchoolCenter PictureThe Texas Education Service Center Curriculum Collaborative (TESCCC) goal is to provide a quality curriculum support system to Texas K-12 schools. TESCCC has developed CSCOPE, a comprehensive, customized, user-friendly curriculum support system. In addition to the curriculum, CSCOPE encompasses resources for the implementation, monitors the curriculum and establishes an accountability process to ensure a quality implementation. The curriculum component of CSCOPE is based on best practice models from top researchers. Lessons are all aligned with the TEKS/TAKS and each lesson meets the highest standards of rigor and relevance.

TEKS SchoolCenter Picture   The Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) is the curriculum framework for Texas schools adopted by The State Board of Education. These learning standards help ensure that all students are prepared to meet the challenges ahead of them as they move into the next century.

ELPS SchoolCenter Picture The English language proficiency standards outline English language proficiency level descriptors and student expectations for English language learners (ELLs). School districts must implement these standards as an integral part of each subject in the required curriculum.
